In the summer of 2002, Lauren Merkin found herself with an MBA degree and wanting a creative outlet. So she pulled out her Singer machine and created three bag styles, along with portfolio samples. By early 2003, her bags were bestsellers. Today, her collection includes day, evening, and most recently, cosmetic bags for all to show off. Each shape has a name and personality of its own.
